Shop For Good!

Submitted by The Arc on Mon, 05/02/2022 - 04:22

The Boise Co-op is a member owned cooperative located in the heart of Boise’s north end. Every month the Co-op selects a group of non-profit organizations to compete in a poll that allows the community to decide on a winner. The non-profit with the highest number of votes is then awarded a Shop For Good Day at The Co-op. The winning non-profit will get 4% of the total store and Wine Shop sales for that day.

The Arc, Inc. won the Shop For Good Poll and will have our day at The Co-op on June 16th! We will also be at the store that day to tell customers about who we are and what we do.

Visit us on June 16th anytime between 9am-9pm at The Boise Co-op:

Fit for Life

This year Fit for Life will partner with The Arc to collect clothing items to support programs for Treasure Valley’s citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Most folks think of The Arc as “that group that helps me clean out my closet when they call for clothing donations.” Many are not aware that The Arc has been serving the valley for 55 years to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the supports they need to live a fulfilling life. The programs include life skills development, vocational training/job placement, residential homes, and recreation. In 2010 the programs allowed over 650 area residents with developmental disabilities achieve greater levels of independence and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.
