Each individual and family served has access to the information, advocacy, and skills they need to participate as active citizens of our democracy and active members of their community. We work to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the supports they need to live an ordinary, decent American life:
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families are valued, respected and included in all communities.
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities direct their own lives. People choose their services and supports from many available sources.
People are empowered through nonprofit advocacy. State and federal governments administer programs and set budgets that meet everyone’s needs.
The Arc is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Leadership and Board of Directors.
Mission

The Arc is committed to securing for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in partnership with their families, the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.

Bobby's work experience began on a farm in Caldwell, where he worked as a farm hand in exchange for room and board. After 15 years he was left unemployed when the farmer he had worked for died.
Chance
Chance is an individual with the courage to take chances and has great motivation to further his dreams for the future. Despite learning difficulties, Chance has moved forward with realizing his dreams of helping others and becoming an active independent member of our community.
