Chance is an individual with the courage to take chances and has great motivation to further his dreams for the future. Despite learning difficulties, Chance has moved forward with realizing his dreams of helping others and becoming an active independent member of our community.  Chance began working with the Arc right after high school. He received services working on life skills and job training. He started working at one of the Arc enclaves and was receiving life skills training at home for a few years. He then moved out of his home with his mother and got an apartment living independently. He found a job working at an assisted living facility where he received job coaching for a few months before phasing out of all services. He currently works fulltime at the assistive living facility without support and continues to live in his apartment independently.  He is very supportive and kind to the elderly people who live in the retirement center in which he works. He is always willing to lend a hand or an ear. He has worked to help others reach their goals and dreams by setting an example and teaching daily living skills to other people with disabilities. He is active in Special Olympics. He demonstrates strong sportsmanship and leadership skills to his peers both on and off the court.
